Job Description
We are looking for our next Surveillance Supervisor to join the team at our Elements Casino Surrey. Under the direction of the Manager, Surveillance, this position is responsible for the monitoring of all areas of the casino property and maintaining documentation. This position will be working together with a team and will be required to write and generate reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring Surveillance Operators; verifying timesheets; providing input for performance evaluations
- Monitoring, documenting and reporting violations regarding large cash/cash equivalent transactions, excluded and self-excluded guests and unauthorized access
- Maintaining logs; preparing daily reports; storing records securely for evidence purposes
- Monitoring, documenting and reporting on the condition of surveillance facilities and equipment; performing preventative maintenance on equipment as required
- Training new colleagues
- Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Building strong working relationships with guests and team members
- Complying with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performing other duties as required
Education and Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Post-secondary education in criminology or a suitable combination of education and experience an asset
- Ability to exceed internal and external guest expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- Minimum 2 years of surveillance or security experience;
- Thorough knowledge of BCLC and Company policies and procedures
- Thorough knowledge of BCLC Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
- Proficient computer skills
- Proficiency with iTrak
- Background experience in Criminology an asset
- Ability to work in a team environment
- The ability to successfully pass a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
