As a family owned company founded in 1971 in the scrap recycling industry, Amix has since expanded into a wide variety of services, including marine salvage, marine projects, marine towing, and barging, concrete sales and steel distribution. Job summary
Based in Chilliwak, BC this role requires the ability to work closely with the Foreman to follow instructions for the completion of general labour and warehouse tasks. General Labour tasks may include the use of a variety of equipment such as forklifts to load, unload and move materials and products. This person will be responsible for loading/unloading products, counting material, assisting warehouse operations, sorting orders. This role offers a Monday to Friday shift, working 8 hour days.
Key interactions (Internal and external)
This role requires the ability to work closely with the Foreman to follow instructions for the completion of general labour/ Warehouse tasks.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 or GED
- Experience as a general labourer in the construction industry is an asset
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs safely
- Must be reliable, mature, punctual, motivated
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team and communicate effectively
- Knowledgeable in general safety practices
