What will you do?
Being a Community Catalyst at Spring is all about the people and building supportive and meaningful relationships. Our Community Catalyst is someone who is relationship oriented and data driven. They recognize that communities require nurturing, engagement, and delight.
As a Community Manager you would be responsible for four key communities:
- Spring's global community of Alumni
- Spring's current program participants
- Spring's network of mentors and experts
- Spring's corporate & external community
Our Community Catalyst also helps all our systems run smoothly supporting our impact measurement and management approach, annual impact report, and our certification processes for B-Corp Certification and 1% for the Planet.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Community Connection Strategy & Implementation
- Create engagement strategy to build and strengthen relationships with the wider community, such as through events, sharing resources, etc. This includes:
- Community Platform Engagement
- Public Events Engagement (IIC,IIS,Info sessions etc)
- Create best practice guides to embed consistency and quality of engagement across Spring's activities. This includes:
- Data collection and organization for IMM and referral purposes
- Using NPS dashboards effectively
- Using guest speaker database effectively
- Building resources and processes for:
- Onboarding cohorts (entrepreneurs and investors) to our platforms- creating Welcome packs etc.
- Meeting potential mentors and sharing program details
- Meeting Alumni to explore future support pathways and connections
- Speaker appreciation
- Designing and managing the coordination between core relationship holders
- Holding them accountable to best practices, collecting feedback on improving processes, and running infrequent meetings of relationship managers
- Work with Program Managers to engage alumni through campaigns to increase referral rate
- Experience design and event management for annual community event
- Implementing community engagement strategies
Mentor Program Strategy & Execution
- Sourcing Mentors - Lead the mentor program from strategy to execution
- Mentor Matching - Lead the mentor program from strategy to execution
- Mentor Relationship Cultivation - Lead the mentor program from strategy to execution
- Work with the team to ensure our community database is current
- Act as the participant champion in program design and development and curriculum design and development
Operations Fixer
- Step in when problems emerge across the organization to support with task force organization and solution building as needed
- Support in creating data dashboards for KPI tracking and team success

This role is for you if you're:
- Remote based in Canada, our current team is centered in Vancouver and Toronto.
- Already experienced with HubSpot, Notion, Slack, and GSuite
- Passionate about impact and making the world better than it is today
- An action-oriented person who is at ease with change and a dynamic environment
- Able to implement the right level of process & reporting to deliver with high results
- Adaptable to the shifting needs of entrepreneurs, ecosystems, and a fast-growing business
- Exceptionally organized and able to manage a diverse array of relationships simultaneously
- Equipped with 2+ years experience in community management
- Energized by connecting with and supporting people
- Able to build collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Organized and enjoy managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- A proactive and creative problem solver
- Find true joy in data, systems design, and process improvement
You must also:
- Have a genuine interest in seeing people succeed
- Thrive in a collaborative environment with a high level of responsibility
- Communicate and listen actively in a range of environments and with a variety of stakeholders with ease
- Be an intermediate to advanced user of G Suite. It is an asset to have experience with Notion, Slack, Miro, Hubspot , Zapier, Survey tools (Typeform), Learning Management Systems (Thinkific) etc.
- Possess a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy
- Have great attention to detail and the ability to manage projects effectively
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multitask, meet deadlines, manage competing priorities according to changing demands
