Senior Human Resources Advisor
On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking a Senior Human Resources Advisor. The client is among the world top 5 in their own domain.
This position will be hybrid with the opportunity to work remotely from home and in the office.
In this role, you will be a HR Business Partner and generalist with a Canadian focus responsible for developing and delivering a broad range of HR solutions and programs that help the Canadian and Global organization achieve its objectives. This includes attracting and retaining top talent, enhancing employee engagement and retention, and learning and development. There are additional opportunities to lead Global HR initiatives.
Senior Human Resources Advisor Job Duties:
- Partner with hiring manager to Talent Acquisition Specialist to develop and deliver sound recruitment and selection practices that drive top talent into the organization, including full-cycle recruitment for a variety of Professional and Technical positions, developing recruitment marketing initiatives, ensure the employee value proposition is present in all recruitment marketing, positively represent the company at recruiting events as required
- Support our Inclusive Attraction, Recruitment & Selection process to recruit diverse candidates
- Support new hire onboarding and offboarding to ensure a positive employee experience
- Provide pro-active guidance and coaching to managers and employees on the execution of foundational human resource programs such as talent management, compensation, performance management and employee relations
- Work with functional leaders and managers to ensure effective annual compensation and bonus and equity program implementation, including providing advice to managers with respect to Total Rewards in relation to internal equity and contribute to annual compensation review process
- Contribute to effective completion of annual Performance Management program, including delivering training for new managers
- Deliver positive leave experience such as Maternity, Parental, STD and LTD process, being the bridge between the employee and payroll administration to ensure administration process and payments are accurate, and timely and return to work is smooth
- Identify training needs for business units and individuals including coaching and working with 3rd party providers. Responsible for planning, sourcing, coordinating and delivering training as required.
- Provide input on and contribute to the delivery of workforce planning and succession
- Contribute to Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestments in Canada
- Support our commitment to Inclusion, Equity and Diversity, including being the HR partner for one of the Employee Resource Groups
- Contribute to Employee Engagement initiatives including pulse surveys, results communication and actions
Employee Engagement, Culture and Wellness:
- Manage, plan and effectively deliver the global Career Anniversary program and other recognition programs
- Manage the planning and execution of the Canadian wellness program
- Contribute to employee engagement and company social events
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance for Canadian Operations
- Participate in audits (ISO, RBA and SOX) and ensure the HR function successfully meets and maintains compliance certifications.
- Manage Immigration matters for Inpats and Expats, including offers, work permits, relocation etc.
- Identify opportunities for streamlining and improvement, manage and/or participate in special projects
Senior Human Resources Advisor Mandatory Skills:
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or business plus CPHR Certification an asset
- An accomplished professional with 8+ years of proven generalist HR experience in a fast paced, high-tech global business; experience delivering HR solutions beneficial
- Able to partner with, build trust, influence, and successfully coach and counsel up to VP level
- Build mindset, with a track record for creating and implementing practical and fit for purpose HR programs that add value to the business and employee experience.
- Results driven with good technical acumen across core HR generalist focus areas
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with an outlook which seeks opportunities for continuous improvement, streamlining and creating good HR processes and practices, leveraging technology as an enabler
- Agile approach with an ability to effectively work in an ever changing, fast paced, global technology enterprise, manage multiple priorities with good planning, organization and implementation skills
- Experience and preference for working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, with an ability to build positive relationships at all levels
- Strong verbal and written English communication and presentation skills
