Job Description

Then this is the career opportunity for you! River Rock Casino Resort is looking for a Doorperson to join our team. Under the direction of the Manager, Front Office, this position is responsible for greeting guests as they arrive at the front doors to the hotel, offering assistance getting out of the vehicle, calling for valet parking, removing luggage from the vehicle while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. Other responsibilities include:
- Opens vehicle doors for guests as they arrive or leave and offers assistance
- Calls a Bellperson to assist with luggage or personally assists if Bellperson not available
- Calls for Taxis
- Facilitates valet parking and keeps the driveway clear, if necessary, drives the car to a parking space
- Drives a standard transmission vehicle
- Provides guests with information on Resort Activities and makes recommendations for dining, gaming etc.
- Provides leadership to Resort Valet team to ensure River Rocks high standards of service are exceeded every day.
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
The Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
- Customer service experience
- Previous hotel experience an asset
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at one time
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Valid Class 5 drivers license and clean Driver's Abstract
- Providing a Great Experience and Memory to all guests, both external and internal
- Ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- A commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests
- A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development

Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule. The scheduled hours of work will be based on business needs.
