Under the direction of the Director of Gaming Operations, the Operations Manager of Slots & Guest Services will be responsible for the management and profitability of the slot operations and guest services department at Elements Casino Victoria. The successful candidate will assist with the planning and direction of slots strategic plans, and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Providing leadership, direction and mentorship to Slots & Guest Services operations and delivering performance evaluations for direct reports
  • Implementing strategic plans for Slots & Guest Services operations as directed
  • Assisting in the development of Slot operations promotions
  • Reviewing revenue and labour reports; making recommendations on opportunities for efficiencies
  • Preparing and submitting slot reports
  • Liaising with the marketing team to assist with developing promotions, analyzing past events and preparing operational strategies
  • Representing the Guest Services operation at community events, Chambers of Commerce, associations etc.
  • Monitoring inventory and supplies
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders; guests, ownership and employees
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Cross-departmental training and operational support as required
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed

 Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education in business or suitable combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a slots & guest service supervisory role
  • Gaming industry knowledge required
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to act with considerable independence, discretion and judgement
  • A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development
  • A passion for delivering outstanding service to our  internal guests
  • Serving it Right Certificate or ability to obtain it
  • The ability to successfully obtain or maintain a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
