As a Server/Bartender at Heather Mountain Lodge, working under the direction of our Operations Manager, you will help a respected Food and Beverage Team in delivering not just amazing service to our guests, but creating lasting impressions, and building long term relationships with guests and staff alike.
Job Description: Server/Bartender
Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you're there to personally take care of them.
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
- Make food and beverage recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
- Answer questions about our food, beverages, other restaurant functions and services, and all there is to see and do in our amazing backyard of Glacier National Park and the surrounding communities.
- Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen and bar.
- Mix and/or prepare beverages from the bar.
- Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely matter.
- Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required.
- Maintain clean service areas.
- Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
- Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable).
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise.
- Clearing and resetting tables as needed.
- Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the lodge manager or immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience serving and bartending in a high-volume, casual fine dining restaurant is an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- This position may include lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work flexible shifts
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Punctuality
Position Type:
Summer Full Time with the opportunity for Year Round seasonal employment.
Starting Wage: $16 per hour (Negotiable based on Experience)
Plus: Equal Share of Tip Pool
Plus: Full time accommodations (7 days a week) during regular operating seasons.
Plus: 3 Meals per Day (7 days a week) provided during regular operating seasons.
Plus: Opportunity to Heli-Ski during winter season!
