Job Description

Hard Rock Casino Vancouver and Elements Casino Surrey are on the lookout for our next leader who is passionate about team engagement and knows how to rock it out in the Food & Beverage industry. Our next team member will exemplify leadership and will thrive in a fast, dynamic and rockin' environment here both at Hard Rock Casino Vancouver and Elements Casino Surrey. We're looking for a leader with proven results and the ability to think out of the box to join the team as our next Manager, Food & Beverage. This position will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of Food & Beverage managers and team members to ensure operational effectiveness and service excellence. Under the general direction of the Executive Director, Hard Rock Casino Vancouver, our next Manager, Food & Beverage will be responsible for the overall management and profitability of all services associated with Food & Beverage at the site level.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Providing leadership, direction and mentoring to the Food & Beverage operation
  • Developing performance objectives and delivering performance evaluations for direct reports
  • Planning, directing and implementing Food & Beverage strategic plans and business plans
  • Promoting and marketing the business
  • Maximizing the revenues of the food outlets while minimizing operating costs
  • Preparing and monitoring the annual and long term F&B budgets and forecasts
  • Analyzing P&L statements and presenting to the Executive Team with suggestions for improvement
  • Offering F&B expertise to all internal and external Guests
  • Approving all Food & Beverage related POs and invoices
  • Overseeing the monthly inventory count and managing discrepancies
  • Liaising closely with the Executive Director to ensure strategic sales goals are exceeded
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders: Guests, management, team members and vendors
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed

 

Qualifications:

  • Legendary Guest service skills with a "Make it Happen" attitude
  • Understanding of yourself and others when communicating with team members and Guests
  • A passion for providing Rockin' It Service to our internal guests in the quest of achieving service excellence

  • Post secondary education in Hospitality Management or suitable combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years in all facets of the Food & Beverage operation including a minimum 2-3 years successful management experience
  • Experience in managing and mentoring a large team
  • Experience with Micros, Opera, Microsoft Office
  • POS experience an asset
  • Multi-outlet management experience an asset
  • Proven track record of driving the profitability of Food & Beverage operations
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Serving It Right certificate
  • The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
