Position Summary:
A great opportunity is B4 you! Chances Dawson Creek is currently looking for a detail orientated Server ready to hit the ground running and be part of the Food and Beverage team. Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager, this position will be responsible in establishing a safe and welcoming work environment. Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Providing patrons with the best service possible in a professional manner.
- Selling food and beverage with an upbeat and positive attitude.
- Thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage items available in the facility.
- Use of P.O.S. Micros system; Handling of cash and credit; balancing of sales at end of shift.
- Cleaning of tables: clear dishes, empties and properly wiped down.
- Making sure tables and chairs are organized in section.
- Restocking, cleaning and organizing of all related work equipment and areas.
- Ongoing practice of Serving It Right
- Assist other co-workers as needed &/or directed
- Follow opening and closing server duties
- Adhering to all policies as they relate to functions of the position.
- Maintaining a professional, constructive, and supportive work environment with all Casino staff, by practicing open communication and effective team efforts.
- Preserving Casino and guest confidentiality while at work and away from work.
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed
As a Successful Candidate YOU will possess the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum one year relevant experience in a high volume environment
- Minimum one year cash handling experience in a customer service position
- Ability to operate adding machines, currency counters and other related equipment
- Ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record and Credit Check
- Working knowledge of computers
- Must be available to work all shifts including nights and weekends
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet stipulated deadlines
- Serving It Right certificate
- Previous Micros or other P.O.S. experience an asset
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Professional attitude and appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player
- Must possess excellent verbal, written and organizational skills
- Dependable and reliable with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence
