Delivery Truck Driver at Salish Soils

Functional Summary

Reporting to the operations manager, the delivery truck driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the delivery truck. The delivery truck driver delivers compost, soil, and mulch to customers across the sunshine coast.

Key Responsibilities include

Safety

· Operate the delivery truck in a safe and appropriate manner

· Promote, execute, and adhere to the company's safety program and encourage all co-workers to adopt safety as a culture

· Attend safety meetings

· Work in a safe, responsible manner to not injure oneself or endanger the wellbeing of others

General

· Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of truck including routine cleaning

· Understands and works closely with the office to deliver compost, soil, and mulch to customers in a timely manner

· Follows unique customer requests for where to dump compost, soil, mulch, or aggregates while keeping the truck and oneself out of harms way

· Monitor inventory of products and advise operations manager if/when they are low

Teamwork

· Participate as a vital team member and contribute towards the success of the company

· Promote a team approach and maintain respectful communication with all co-workers and leaders to exchange information and gather ideas

· Must ensure a solid understanding of and comply with the principles of the company's code of ethics

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 7 months

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Experience:
