Job Description
Elements Casino Chilliwack is currently seeking an experienced Bartender. If you enjoy creating Great Experiences and Memories for your guests, then apply to be a part of our amazing Food & Beverage team!
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Greets guests by name wherever possible
- Informs guests of any daily features
- Explains how various beverages are prepared if applicable
- Takes the guests' orders and makes recommendations
- Prepares beverages if applicable
- Serves the guests and checks to ensure satisfaction
- Resolves guests issues or asks management for assistance
- Presents bill upon request and takes payment in the absence of a cashier
- Cleans tables or counters, removes glasses and re-stocks where applicable
- Performs opening or closing duties as required
- Counts cash float at end of shift if applicable
- Covers other bartenders' sections when required
- Exercises good judgment when serving alcoholic beverages according to SIR, Smart Serve or IGB
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Post Secondary hospitality or hotel education an asset, Bartending certificate an asset
- SIR, Smart Serve or IGB Certificate
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- POS experience
- Minimum 1 year bartending experience
- Providing a Great Experience and Memory to all guests, both external and internal
Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule. The hours of work will be based on operational needs.
