Truck and Coach Mechanic
Location: Prince George, BC
Prince George Transit is currently seeking an enthusiastic, driven and hardworking Truck and Coach Mechanic to join our team in Prince George.
You will be tasked with performing regular preventative maintenance, repairs and CVIPs, while being challenged in systematic utilization of our fleet, shop facilities, efficiencies and safety of our fleet.

- You will grow your mechanical experience by working on transit vehicles and highway motor coaches along with some work on mini buses and automotive fleets
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Journeyman Technician Certification (Commercial Transport, Heavy Duty, Automotive)
- Valid Driver's License (Class 5 with an air brake endorsement)
- CVIP (Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program) License desired
- Analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and understand parts and service manuals in English
- Proficient with computer equipment
- Health & Safety Knowledge - OH&S rules and regulations guidelines
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily maintenance of the Transit fleet
- Diagnose equipment problems
- Preventative maintenance
- Work with Shop Management to maintain schedules and priorities
- Perform government Inspections (CVIP)
- Follow procedures and guidelines
- Complete all documentation associated with equipment repairs
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Suggest areas for additional training and assist with training of apprentices
- Attend company training programs as required
