Technical Lead (Systems/hardware) at MistyWest

About MistyWest

MistyWest is a hardware engineering consultancy that exists to create novel technologies that enable a healthier planet and bring prosperity to all humankind, with a focus primarily on hardware projects that advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

About the Role

At MistyWest, our Technical Lead is a senior engineering leader who delivers best-in-class client experience.

You have the unique ability to quickly and accurately translate the client's stated hardware product vision into elegant project architecture, as well as core system-level requirements. You drive the systems design process while communicating and collaborating on that process with your project team. You work closely with our project managers to lead a multidisciplinary team of research scientists, engineers and designers to complete both product research, development, design and manufacturing tasks, across a variety of industries as well as intersecting technology verticals and horizontals.

You crave getting deeply involved in the technical aspects of the project, as well as the system design, and have a very hands-on approach. You look for ways for your multidisciplinary technical experience and education to shine.

MistyWest develops products in many innovative and unproven applications, so you must be obsessed with learning new skills and technology as well as highly comfortable with ambiguity and the unknown. You are used to working with diverse product development teams and are a great communicator. You thrive in collaborative environments and look forward to working in our beautiful offices in Mount Pleasant a minimum of one day per week.
