On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager, Meditech Informatics Lead.
Senior Project Manager, Meditech Informatics Lead Job Duties:
- Providing informatics expertise and leadership to relevant operational leaders, physicians, and stakeholder groups to ensure information technology design and future state workflows provide the best opportunities to support and transform clinical practice, education, administration and research across the continuum of care and across specified programs/network/diagnostics/support services.
- Leading and coordinating design activities associated with workflow standardization, system design and informatics work stream activities including alignment and integration with the other design teams.
- Driving best practice and informatics outcomes by collaborating with leadership to lead design based on best evidence and professional standards,
- Liaising, guiding, and providing consultative direction within the area of responsibility to ensure informatics processes for future state design are aligned with FHA organizational requirements. Provides leadership, guidance and support to designated operational leaders, physicians, project consultants/staff as required.
- Leading broad groups of stakeholders to identify system and business requirements. Facilitates consensus, consults and shares information in order to achieve a common, comprehensive, enhanced and standardized future-state electronic health record that addresses the needs and strategic directions of the overall program(s)/ service line(s)/ portfolio(s).
- Problem solving and addressing potential barriers to success
- Ensuring organizational requirements are met, and evaluate and monitor success to ensure effective implementation of quality and system improvements.
- Supporting team members in validating the required data elements for measurement of process and outcomes, and ensure they are incorporated into system design and used to transform clinical practices.
- Participating in the development of future state clinical content (e.g. order sets, care pathways, etc.), workflows and all necessary linkages to recommend appropriate system configuration and future state workflows.
- Collaborating on the development of relevant design standards, nomenclature, decision support, quality assurance and testing activities. Recommends prioritization for intake processes.
- Joining with the programs/network/diagnostics/support services and site leadership to lead the facilitation, localization and implementation of program/specialty level workflow changes pertaining to system changes in support of clinical and business outcomes, and the implementation of new or revised policies, procedures, protocols and processes impacted by the new clinical information system (for the specified programs/network/diagnostics/support services).
- Leading collaboratively with the programs/network/diagnostics/support services and unit leadership the process to ensure readiness for implementation and supports change management and learning strategies. Applies and provides expertise to the development and operationalization of a framework to manage, govern, and sustain clinical information systems.
- Leading the ongoing assessment post-implementation to enhance clinical adoption to maximize the benefits, both clinical and business, related to the design and usage of the information system by monitoring system reports and by sharing and escalating these as appropriate.
- Contributing to the development, implementation and communication of healthcare information system related policies, procedures and workflow changes with health organization stakeholders.
- Identifying risks and provides detailed analysis of situation; and escalates following established issues/risks escalation process.
- Providing direction, leadership, guidance and support to designated project staff/consultants as required.
- Being accountable for working independently and collaboratively with teams to ensure assigned project deliverables are met, providing regular status updates on project deliverables, and outcomes.
- Performs other duties as required.
CORE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Project management experience leading EHR implementation in a multi-site healthcare organization;
• Experience with MEDITECH Expanse, or earlier versions of MEDITECH will be an advantage; regardless of whether this experience is related to the MEDITECH solution functionality or project managing the implementation of the solution;
• Knowledge / experience of any of the following EHR domains, preferably in a BC context, will be an advantage:
o Health Information Management
o Patient Access (Admission, Discharge, Transfer, Registration, Scheduling)
o Order Management
o Provider Documentation
o Nursing and Allied Health Documentation
o Ambulatory / Primary Care
o Advanced Clinical Functionality
• Advanced / Expert user of MS Office, MS Visio, MS Project;
• Strong visual and presentation capabilities to 'translate' complex clinical, technical and healthcare concepts into visual materials for varied audiences from c-suite to VPs and technical stakeholders;
• Experience and understanding of BC's healthcare governance and landscape around shared services models and clinical delivery;
• Experience working in digital health and healthcare environment preferred;

•Proven ability to foster a collaborative team approach to decision-making;
