Internal Engagement Associate
On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking an Internal Engagement Associate, reporting to the Senior Manager, Internal Engagement, contributes to the implementation their employee engagement programs and related communication initiatives. The position plays a role in developing content for the corporation's intranet in accordance with approved strategies, supporting the planning and execution of town halls, and actioning assigned tasks associated with issues management. The Internal Engagement Associate will draw upon communication and engagement principles and best practices when developing materials for employee engagement programs. The Associate's responsibilities and activities are aligned with approved engagement or communication strategies.
Internal Engagement Associate Job Duties:
Developing Content for Employee Intranet
- Prepare content for the intranet that is aligned with the approved employee engagement program and annual editorial calendar. Responsibilities and scope include:
- Planning the scheduling and developing the content for Workplace Updates and working in collaboration with subject matter experts to determine the message, the appropriate timing, and building the required webpage.
- Writing and preparing assigned carousel articles that focus on a variety of topics that include employee benefits, employee engagement activities, their history, new policies and directives, etc.
- Contribute to the production of digital content for employees by fact-checking, and proofing and editing materials.
Contribute to Employee-focused Campaigns
- Partner with Human Resources in planning and implementing employee-focused campaigns and series (such as Wellness Wednesdays, Mental Health Week, co-op and intern podcasts, etc.) that are short- to medium-term in duration and may be delivered in-person, virtually, and/or via the intranet.
- Responsibilities include developing the scheduling plan, writing the content, preparing collateral materials, and building the required webpages.
Contribute to Town Hall Events
- Assist with planning and implementing all-staff events (either in-person or virtual). Responsibilities and scope include:
- Developing surveys, analyzing results, and preparing reports for senior management.
- - Liaising with the Digital Media Producer and/or third-party vendors on the technical requirements for the event.
- - Planning and developing content for "filler" sections within a town hall – content may include short videos, presentations, activities that focus on engagement or human interest, etc.
Corporate Responsibilities
- Actively adheres to compliance and risk management policies and participates in business continuity plan, and emergency/crisis communication activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
Internal Engagement Associate Mandatory Skills:
- Diploma in communication or public relations and/or related experience
- A minimum of four years experience in a communications role
- Strong professional communication skills – includes written, verbal, and an understanding of digital and multi-media communication
- Strong computing skills, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite, as well as proficiency in applications such as the Thought Farmer intranet platform, Photoshop, and other related applications
- Good project and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work collaboratively with colleagues and external service providers
Internal Engagement Associate Desired Skills:
- Completion of the CFA Institute Investment Foundations Program
