Classification: Accountant - Entry Level
Compensation: $20.00 to $25.00 hourly
Robert Half is actively searching for an Accounts Payables Accountant. You will be responsible for entering data, reviewing financial statements, and creating and manipulating Excel spreadsheets. You will report to the Accounting Manager, be a vital member of a dynamic team, and have the potential for career growth. This role could be a great match if you have an aptitude for Excel, you maintain a positive attitude, and you are open to an entry-level accounting position. This is a long-term contract entry-level Accountant role based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Your responsibilities in this role:
- Aiding in full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Input data
- Reconciling and leveling general ledger accounts
- Prepare journal entries monthly
- Researching and correcting account discrepancies
- Facilitating audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
- Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience at minimum
- Outstanding data entry skills
- Reconcile Vendor Statements experience
- SAP experience
- Process Vendor Invoices experience preferred
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
- Account reconciliation experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred
- An AA or BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business suggested
- Be detailed, flexible, and organized
