Security Architect
- Contract Duration: 6 months possible extension
- Work Location: Surrey, BC
- Security Clearance Required: Level 1 - Reliability
Our client, a global leading IT company, is looking for a Security Architect.
Knowledge of information security architectures and risk management and aptitude for technical design, concepts, and methodology is important in this role to improve information security. The candidate will collaborate with external partners on key information security technologies and be the resource on policies, practices and standards.
This opportunity will allow the candidate to build on their education and career experience as they:
- Design, implement and maintain enterprise security solutions and access controls
- Join the team in leading the security vision and strategy on security architectures of applications, programs and innovative initiatives.
- Provide expert technical security advice and consultation to and external stakeholders
- Monitor information security tracking systems, network and access controls and compliance systems.
- Assist management and staff to ensure information security in considered in the design and/or redesign of programs, services, projects and initiatives.
- Investigate information security incidents and provide information security training, education and awareness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education.
- Five (5) years recent related experience in an information security role in a large complex multi-site organization.
- Completion of cybersecurity certification such as Certified Information Systems Professional (CISSP), SANS/GIAC security certifications, or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
- Extensive knowledge of information security principles, frameworks, standards, best practices, and industry trends is an asset.
