On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking a Project Director, RCH Acute Care Tower

Project Director, RCH Acute Care Tower Job Duties:

  1. Provide oversight and facilitation of IMITS Technical Services Park Centre and Rotunda Decant work stream
    • Facilitate the creation of the Technical Services Solution Delivery Proposals for the decant and move of operational staff and equipment
    • Oversee the Technical Services work and report on monthly progress
  2. Refresh the 2020 Richmond Hospital Acute Care Tower Business Plan Technology Plan documentation to align the IMITS application and technology requirements to support the Clinical business requirements.
    • Time sensitive deliverable: Clinical IT requirements to inform Statement of Requirements for DB tender through the development of the Owner Project Requirements (OPR) process.
    • Detailed inventory of software & systems (software and hardware) that will be translated by Compliance Team into infrastructure and clinical requirements.
      • Required department by department.
      • Includes but not limited to:
      • Inventory today (identifying what will be rolled over to the new tower)
      • Inventory in the future outside of the project. For example, known projects on the VCH Capital Plan, CST, etc
      • Inventory net new to the new tower (as per tech plan and/or recent decisions made after tech plan and in scope)
      • Consideration of other innovation ideas.
  1. Identify additional Business Cases required and oversee the development of the business cases to support the new deployment or expansion of existing IMITS systems in the existing RH South Tower to ensure funding can be secured to implement these applications prior to the opening of the new Acute Care Tower. This will greatly assist staff with familiarizing themselves with the new applications and technology prior to opening the Acute Care Tower, reducing barriers to change adoption and not overwhelming staff with the change in the new space but also all new systems and equipment.
  2. Identify Business Cases required and oversee the development of the business cases to support the new Acute Care Tower if funding has not been represented in the Technology Business Plan; for example Cerner expansion configuration work required for the Acute Care Tower.
  3. Identify if and when RFPs may be required to support procurement of technology and systems that are not currently covered under existing provincial or Health Authority contracts.
  4. Identify the infrastructure behind the walls required to support the deployment of the business applications, as this information will be required for the Design Phase of the new Acute Care Tower. (Networks, wireless network, cabling, servers, etc.)
  5. Create a high level implementation plan with all IMITS systems and supporting infrastructure required for the Acute Care Tower, also including interdependent VCH projects (i.e. CST, TeleTracking, Vocera) that will be deployed in the South Tower prior to the new build.
  6. Provide project administrative support of the Technology Plan including;
    • IMITS and Technical Services budget tracking and management
    • Monthly project status reporting
    • Attend project team meetings
    • Provide steering committee status reports as needed
Project Director, RCH Acute Care Tower Mandatory Skills:
  • Participation in large construction projects as the IT Project Lead
  • Health Care IT experience
  • Implementation of new and innovative technologies (ie: Real Time Locating Systems, Voice Activated Telephony, Patient Tracking Systems and Mobile Applications)
  • Detailed understanding of technical infrastructure requirements
  • Senior project management skills in budget management, resource tracking and IT project planning and implementations

Onsite work is needed in BC  All consultants must be fully vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) and must be able to provide proof of vaccination status.
