Certified Privacy Professional
On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking a Certified Privacy Professional to complement internal staff capacity and to increase the capacity to provide privacy advisory and assessment services to their core business functions. This individual will provide privacy consulting services that include assisting them complete initial privacy assessments, Privacy Impact Assessments, and/or other documentation (e.g., drafting/updating privacy statements, privacy policies, etc.) needed to satisfy privacy compliance requirements for new and existing programs and initiatives, as per applicable legislation and policy
Certified Privacy Professional Job Duties:
- performing initial privacy assessments;
- using applicable government forms and templates;
- liaising with program areas to gather information on initiatives requiring privacy impact assessments;
- detailing, in writing, the collection, use and disclosure of personal information in the applicable initiative;
- performing privacy impact assessments and providing related analysis on the privacy impacts of the initiative;
- assessing risks from a privacy and security perspective and making recommendations on how to mitigate risks;
- advising on FOIPPA compliance with regards to the collection, use, access and disclosure of personal information in business processes, new systems and technologies;
- providing guidance on the development of external and internal privacy policies;
- preparing high-level status reports, including:
- list of assessments performed and status of each assessment;
- summary of the actions taken by the Key Personnel in completing the assessments;
- performing other privacy consulting services as required from time to time.
- identify and recommend areas for expansion and/or refinement of Services, according to industry or government best practices;
- design, prepare and deliver privacy related presentations;
- track and monitor privacy related requests; and
- participate and/or facilitate effective knowledge transfer to management and employees.
Certified Privacy Professional Mandatory Skills:
- certified Privacy Professional through the International Privacy Professional Association (CIPP/CIPM)
- minimum 5 years of related experience

- ability to apply project standards and to deliver assigned tasks within scope and schedule
- excellent analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- ability to quickly understands the business issues and challenges of client's organization

- ability to act as liaison conveying information in suitably accurate models between the business units and their counterparts within information technology
- exceptional communication skills and demonstrable ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization, including written and verbal communications as well as presentations and visual aids
